2019 CrossFit Cascade Classic
In 2019 during the competition’s last day, I was injured irritating a nerve in my shoulder blade. I was able to finish the competition but it marked a journey to build confidence around chronic pain I still experience today. 2020’s Cascade Classic was canceled due to the pandemic. I qualified for 2021’s competition but it was again canceled due to the pandemic. Looking forward to 2022!
Lost coast lift off 2019
A meet hosted by Humboldt CrossFit for “Star Wars Day”. We came, we lifted, and the force was with us! I went 6/6 with a platform total PR (personal record) and I matched my lifetime best clean and jerk! It was also my first time coaching athletes in a meet and counting my own cards (coaching myself). Lots of firsts- and I’m happy to say I took first place for the ladies! Super fun event. Always fun to see people lifting heavy stuff and the atmosphere was wonderful.
2018 Cascade Classic
The Cascade Classic is a two-day fitness expo held in Seattle, WA. Competition ranges from individual functional fitness to strongman to Olympic Weightlifting and even teams. This was my third consecutive year competing in the “Rx Individual Women” category for functional fitness. I also competed in their Olympic Lifting meet, where I took first place! Learn more about the qualification process, preparation and event details in an upcoming blog post!
